LESSONS/CURRICULUM

Lessons are scheduled once a week and are taught in a one-on-one private lesson setting. After our initial conversation and a short (non-threatening) musical evaluation, I construct a custom tailored lesson plan based on the fundamentals of the instrument, your individual needs and abilities, and your own goals and interests. I cover all aspects of music from the technicality of the instrument to developing the musical ear, intuition, harmony, theory and more.


HOMEWORK? NO WORRIES!

Yes. This is a very harsh term so lets call it “Home Practice Time” or simply “Play-at-home Session.” It is highly recommended to repeat at home what we do at the lesson. If you are a beginner 15 minutes of practice a day will do the work. You have to remember that music is like a language, and just as a baby learns to speak through the act of repetition, music is absorbed in the same way.

I do my best to give my students fun material to practice at home, as music must also entertain us.
